Student Learning Review
Carrick-on-Shannon Community School introduced the Student Learning Review to replace traditional Parent/ Teacher Meetings during the academic year 2017/ 2018.
The purpose of the review is to focus on improving learning outcomes for the student. Teachers use a specially drafted reflective template to discuss each student's strengths with their parents/ guardians. By discussing how each student learns, teachers and parents/ guardians can work together more effectively to assist each student in reaching the goals they set for themselves.
An individual Student Learning Review is held for each year group in the school.
