Congratulations to Andselinka Pelnika and Bohdana Brynetska who won the E.S.E.R.O. Discover Space Student Award recently at Sci-Fest in Sligo. Their teacher, Ms. J. Walsh also recevied the E.S.E.R.O. Ireland Discover Space Teacher Award.
The Sci-Fest Chemistry Student awards went to Rojus Jonelis, Bilal Saddique and Devin Pelton-Moore.
We are also delighted to congratulate Conor Keenehan and Brandon McKiernan who won the Institute of Physics Award.
And finally, a big 'thank you' to the teachers who guided the students through the process; Ms. Kelly, Ms. Walsh and Ms. Creegan.
Carrick on Shannon Community School is delighted to welcome Leitrim MABS (Money Advice & Budgeting Service) to the school on Thursday, 18th May, 2023 for an information session on all aspects of their work paying particular attention to:
* Budgeting for family meals
* Back to School/College
* Managing utility bills etc.
The talk will take place from 7pm to 8pm in the school and all are welcome.
2nd Year Tour Meeting Postponed
The 2nd Year School Tour meeting due to be held this evening has been postponed until the 17th April at 7pm in the school.

Transition Year Work Experience
Transition Year students will be on Work Experience from the 10th March to the 16th March 2023 inclusive.
Students are required to return the Work Placement Summary Form prior to commencing their work placement.
Career Guidance Appointments
6th Year students are able to make an appointment with the Career Guidance teacher, Ms. Toolan, on Wednesdays and Thursdays using the link shared with them on the Microsoft Teams app.
LCVP Recorded Interviews
A reminder to 6th Year students sitting the LCVP that the recorded interview section will take place over the next two days (Wednesday and Thursday) in Room 4.
Students are required to wear full school uniform for the interview.
For further details and the recording schedule, students should refer to the noticeboards outside rooms 16 and 19.

Garda Information Talk
The school is delighted to host a Garda Information Talk this evening in the school from 8pm.
The topics covered will include:
* Phones/ Social Media Apps
* Drugs and Alcohol
* Community Garda and the law
All parents/ guardians are welcome to attend and the talk will last about 45 minutes.
